2027 Maclean's University Rankings: National Reputational Ranking

Canada's top public universities for 2027, as ranked by Maclean's magazine.

Every year, Maclean's magazine ranks Canada's universities. By surveying university faculty and administrators, as well as employers across Canada, Maclean's has created the following list of universities ranked by overall national reputation. Almost every public university in the country appears on this list, so check out where the schools you're interested in have ranked.

Not all public Canadian universities are included in the Maclean's rankings. Maclean's excludes certain institutions based on various criteria, so if the school you're interested in doesn't appear here, don't fret.

(Remember, rankings aren't everything! Universities are complex and multifaceted, and even lower-ranked schools offer a high tier of education and campus experience here in Canada.)
