All programs have requirements and pre-requisites of some kind. It’s important that you research
your particular program to make certain there are no surprises.
Admission requirements vary between specific colleges and programs. In most cases, an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent is required. Graduate Certificate
programs may ask for a prior college or university certificate, diploma or degree for admission.
You’re responsible for ensuring that you meet academic requirements. The Algonquin College Registrar’s Office
can inform you of any changes to the admission requirements that are not contained in recent publications or on the Algonquin
Programs that are considered highly competitive
have different requirements than non-competitive programs. Application and admission dates
are obvious factors to keep in mind as you assemble your academic future.
