If you’re new to AC or you’re joining us on campus for another semester, this is the article for you! We’ve compiled a list of our top five favourite places on campus (in no particular order) that we think are the crème de la crème. Let’s get into it!

The Athletics and Recreation Centre

This multi-level facility is the perfect place for seasoned pros and gym newbies alike. With a 10,000 square-foot free weights zone, turf training area, climbing and bouldering wall, 346-metre track, and fitness studios, the ARC is the place to be.

The Wolves Den

After a good workout, it’s time for a good meal! Wolves Den proudly serves towering plates of nachos and some of the most mouth-watering chicken tenders on the market. The possibilities are endless; grab a quick bite before class, buy a round for your pals, or brainstorm with your classmates. When you’re done enjoy a game of bowling, pool, or virtual golf (free for fee paying students) at the Wolves Den Games Room. The Wolves Den is always a great time.

The MakerSpace

Located on the second floor, Algonquin’s MakerSpace is where dreams become reality. With cutting-edge equipment like 3D printers, VR stations, and a laser engraver, this space provides innovators with a place to conceptualize, experiment, and build.

The Horticulture Gardens

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and need to reconnect with nature, you don’t have to go far. Whether you’re going for a walk between classes or need a quick yoga sesh, the student-designed and maintained gardens are one of the most tranquil spots on campus. This one is a must-see, especially in the springtime!

The DARE District Library

This vibrant and airy spot on campus is everyone’s first choice when it comes to study spaces. If you’re hitting the books before a big exam or camping out to finish a group project, the library is home to lots of collaborative and silent areas. Need to plug in? This space is also equipped with plenty of power outlets and computers at your disposal.
