Become a Leader at Liberty University

Knowing how to lead — and to lead well — is a skill vital to success in today's workplace. Leaders inspire others. They bring about change. They draw people together with a shared vision and empower them to do big things.

But unethical leaders put societies and communities at risk. At Liberty University, we're intentional about training you to lead well, to serve others with integrity, and to be the next generation of national and global leaders.

So if you want to become an executive leader, a team leader, a church leader, or a leader in your home, you can choose from multiple leadership tracks designed to teach you how to use your influence — and inspire others to make lasting change.

The Converge Leadership Program

Get the leadership training and professional skills you need through development workshops, competency-based small groups, and peer mentorship. The Converge Leadership Training Program will equip you to confidently lead wherever life takes you.

  • Develop cultural awareness and an appreciation of diversity that moves you to engage and influence in your unique contexts
  • Apply biblical and theological principles to your current and future leadership practices
  • Gain professional experience as you learn how to identify problems, formulate solutions, and adapt to change with efficiency and excellence
  • Obtain knowledge, values, abilities, and behaviours necessary for proficiency in essential leadership competencies

Become a Resident Assistant

Love living in residence, and want to give back to your community? You can become a Resident Assistant (RA), and make a difference on campus as you prepare for your future career with practical leadership training and hands-on experience. As an RA, you'll:

  • Support others while you set the tone for a great year in your hall
  • Obtain the RA scholarship which covers your entire room-and-board expenses and a portion of your tuition
  • Participate in leadership development opportunities through orientations, training, and RA Connect (a biweekly RA class)
  • Receive mentoring and discipleship by your Resident Director
