Written and photographed by Steph Townsend.

"If you walk in a landscape, you'll find that the landscape gives you something back. It's the same if you 'walk' in a person. If you look at a person's whole expression you can see that you can walk in the landscape that a human body constitutes."

– Photographer Per Bak Jensen

This selection of photos is to celebrate the incredible people at Capilano University. Following a historical time of Zoom classes and TikTok dance moves, our resilience as humans to stay connected remains.

In the past few months, I have experienced students meeting each other for the first time in person and connecting through their passion. Faculty and leaders inspiring the next generation to believe in themselves as change-makers. Alumni striving forward with confidence and giving back to their community.

As the classrooms reopen and the days get longer, we may continue dancing on TikTok, but we're here together and the future looks bright.
