A group of students cultivates their own sense of community at Booth University College.

What makes the difference between surviving and thriving at school? According to our students, it's the sense of community that pulls them through and gives them encouragement in the midst of the academic term's challenges. While Booth UC continues to grow, we remain a close-knit community that fosters supportive relationships between students, faculty and staff. This support enables us to celebrate diversity as well as our common interests, and holds us accountable to our collective goal of Education for a Better World.

Communities are cultivated when individuals come together to achieve things greater than what is possible as individuals. During the academic year, the Booth UC campus community collectively reflects on a number of important topics that both stretch and strengthen us. Events and activities enable us to see ourselves in new ways, connect with each other at a different level and challenge us to try new things... and maybe even have a little fun along the way!

Some of our regular events for students, staff and faculty include:

Welcome Week, to celebrate the return of students to our campus the first week of the academic year.

Heritage Days, to affirm the vision of Booth UC, celebrate its history, values and accomplishments, and discuss its relevance in today's world.

Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention week, to learn more about this important and relevant topic, and grow in our commitment to make Booth UC a safe and supportive environment for everyone.

Indigenous Perspectives Awareness Campaign, to grow our awareness of Indigenous culture and tradition, our understanding of Indigenous history and place, and our ability to see a future for reconciliation at Booth UC.

Booth UC continues to be a place where friendships form, where we challenge each other to be better people and where we learn to live — and thrive — together in community.
