A university education should not be limited to your academic studies in the library and the labs. Along with a wide variety of intellectually challenging and engaging programs, FDU Vancouver offers a diverse array of opportunities for student involvement, personal growth and leadership development.

Getting involved in campus life is a great way to make friends, network, and discover new and exciting opportunities. Here are just a few of the clubs and extra-curricular activities that you could participate in at FDU!

Model UN - Participating in Model United Nations is an excellent way to develop negotiation skills, learn effective communication skills, and form solutions with peers from around the world whilst broadening your perspective on a variety of international topics. In the past, students from FDU Vancouver have travelled to participate in MUN's in both New York and South Korea and interacted with over 3500 students from across the world.

Toastmasters - A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants sharpen their public speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere, participating in both local and international contests.

Rotaract club - Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. One of the main purposes of Rotaract is to bring young men and women together to work to make the community and world a better place.

Aside from our clubs, we also encourage our students to come together to celebrate the world in which we live. Previously, students have enjoyed partaking in Holi festival, Lunar New Year, Diwali, Halloween, Africa Day, Eid Al-Fitr, St Patrick's Day, and several other cultural celebrations which have now become a much-loved FDU Vancouver tradition.

Throughout the year we attend social activities in the local community such as ice-skating, street festivals, hikes and of course, attending hockey games to cheer on the Vancouver Canucks!

At FDU we encourage you to make the most of your time as a student, because University is not just about broadening your own intellectual horizons, it's also about helping prepare you to contribute to the world and have fun whilst doing so!
