When exploring university studies, it’s important to consider all aspects of your investment. Financial aid, or scholarships, are a key factor. Carleton University is proud to offer one of the most generous scholarship programs in Canada. Last year, more than 11,000 scholarships and bursaries totaling over $16.4 million were awarded to undergraduate students coming from across Canada and around the world.

Undergraduate Entrance Awards – An unlimited number of entrance scholarships are automatically offered to all high school students who meet our academic and language requirements. This means no separate application! The scholarship amount is based on applicants’ previous academic performance and ranges from $1000 to $16,000 awarded across 4 years of study. See the Awards for International Students for more information.

* Scholarships are renewable with an annual GPA of 10.0 (A- standing)
* Please note that for some programs, the value of the scholarship may be increased at the time of your offer.

**Please note for U.S and U.K systems, these are approximate ranges intended as a rough guide. For the U.K system, O-Levels are also taken into account. For the U.S system, the passing grade of the high school and external exams such as SAT or ACT scores are also taken into consideration when determining the scholarship average.

Prestige Scholarships – In addition to the automatic entrance awards, Carleton also offers 24 (Prestige scholarships – ranging from $20,000 to full tuition. To be considered for a prestige scholarship, you must be entering Carleton for the first time and have no previous attendance at post-secondary educational institutions. You’ll need an admission average of 90 percent or better and the selection committee will also assess your community or secondary school activities. One application form is used for all the prestige scholarships. The application must be submitted by March 1.
