Centenniel CollegeObtaining Canadian work experience, developing leadership skills and having meaningful international learning experiences are some of the ways your Student Life in Canada can enhance your academic experience in ways that you can apply to your career:

Obtaining Canadian Work Experience
“In the beginning of the semester I had the opportunity to join in an important project at ARIC (Applied Research and Innovation Centre) atCentennial College. Our team is building an international market strategy plan for a Canadian company interested in investing in emerging countries”, shares Rodrigo Batista.
“My role is to createan entry market strategy for Brazil, it is an asset that I'm Brazilian and have some experience in marketing beyond the language and culture.I’m very happy to be part of Centennial College as a post-graduate student in Marketing Research & Analytics. This program is very focused on real demand needs from companies and I have the opportunity to align the theory and practical skills at the same time.”

Volunteer Work Experience and Leadership Development
"While studying Global Business Management, I am participating in Centennial College's Leadership Passport program. One of main initiatives is Volunteering. I volunteered for the Toronto Ukrainian Festival, International Students Festival, and Accounting and Finance event at Centennial College, where I made good contacts.”says Maxim Gromyko.
“My journey for my Leadership Passport began when I came off the plane in Ontario from Jamaica. I was in a new place and would meet many different people from different cultures. The culmination of all the experiences would change me into a better leader anda better person. With the use of the school and its resources and making myself available, I was able to do just that.” reflects Ainsley Dacres, Project Management Graduate.

International Learning Experiences
“I also took part in a Centennial College trip to Cuba as an ambassador where I learned about agriculture and our team helped with an eight-year project to create a sustainable farm.” Gromyko continues.“All these experiences are going to be included in my Leadership Passport which is a dual credential that will be awarded at my graduation ceremony."
“I’ve learned more about myself and the world in the last three months than I could have ever hoped to; my whole perspective has shifted and my eyes have been opened in more than one way. My internship in Panama was a true learning experience and I have grown, as has my understanding of the world." tells Mara Abolinson the Centennial College Global Experience Blog.

Exploring Multiculturalism in Toronto, Canada
“Toronto offers so many things that will leave a life-long memory for visitors. One of my favorite things about Toronto is the incredible variety of ethnic foods that are available along Bloor Street from Little Italy to Greek town. I have tasted gourmet foods such as East Indian, Italian, Greek, and Portuguese.” Tomoko Torii, Business Marketing student at Centennial College blogs about her International Student Experience exploring student life in Toronto.
