Description:Study the science of life itself. Find out why living organisms are the way they are, and how they came to be that way. Biology includes a vast array of sub-disciplines, including ecology, genetics, behaviour, physiology, anatomy, taxonomy, and developmental and population biology. In studying Biology, you’ll develop research experience and skills in analytical reasoning, critical thinking, scientific analysis, problem-solving and interpersonal communication.

Co-operative Education is a method of learning in which students alternate formal academic studies with paid work terms. Co-op is a chance to apply knowledge, develop skills and gain confidence, while impressing employers as a potential hire. Please see website for more information.

  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade12 Precalculus  or  Grade12 Calculus 
  •  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Physics  or  Grade12 Computer and Information Science  

Two additional academic courses are also required.
Test Scores:
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or CanTEST [min. 4.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80]

If your first language is not English, you must demonstrate that you have the English language skills necessary to be successful in Saint Mary’s University degree programs.
