Profile

Welcome to one of the world's largest Christian universities!

Since 1971, Liberty University has remained committed to providing a premier Christian education to students from around the world. We partner with you to fulfill your dreams by providing a top-tier college experience. Our Liberty family is composed of over 700 international students representing 70 different countries, with Canada being the second largest population of international students. And this is for good reason!

In addition to offering a large tuition discount for Canadian students, we offer a world-class campus like no other in the U.S., which is currently in its final phases of a $1 billion renovation.

Your learning will come from professors experienced in their respective fields. You will hear from outside speakers 2+ times per week during Convocation, the world's largest weekly gathering of Christian young people.

We will provide you with opportunities to gain valuable practical experience through internships through our Washington D.C. and New York City Fellowships.

As a faith-based school, we understand that academics is only part of your life. You have a brain for acquiring knowledge, a body to be kept strong and healthy, which is why our dining facilities consistently rank #1 in the country, and a soul to be nourished, which is why spiritual development is a priority on our campus. Every part of you will be challenged and stimulated to grow while at Liberty.

Transformed lives, like the transformed campus are the hallmark of the Liberty experience.

Imagine how God could transform your life here at Liberty!

Incoming Students

First-year students participate in a new student orientation. This program helps students understand the many benefits of studying at Liberty on a student (F1) visa, including campus employment, internships (paid and unpaid), and Optional Practical Training, which is a 1–3 year opportunity to work in the U.S. following graduation in an area related to your major.

Career Planning

Liberty University is serious about preparing you for employment upon graduation. Our Career Center offers mock interviews and resume preparation services to help you stand out in job interviews. Because Liberty is a faith-based school that develops both knowledge and character, we focus on offering practical experience during college and bringing in businesses and organizations to our career fairs that are very eager to hire Liberty graduates.

Sports

This is where grit and grace meet the gridiron. The ice. The field. The track. The pool.

It's where athletes play with passion — and then pray with their competitors after the game, win or lose.

It's a Division I experience with conviction. A fan favourite that's also a family favourite.

At Liberty University, you'll get the big-time college game day experience — the traditions, the tailgates, and the thundering crowds. But you'll also get the testimonies of coaches and student-athletes who understand that being a champion means more than simply being a victor. Enjoy 20 NCAA Division I sports, 40+ Club Sports teams (including 5 hockey teams), and 20+ intramural sports.

Activities

The Student Activities department provides over 100 exciting events each year to bring students together.
