On Campus Housing

Our Simcoe Village and South Village residences provide accommodations for 1,360 students. And, if you’re a first-year student, you’re guaranteed a spot in residence if you meet the criteria deadline for accepting UOIT’s offer of admission and apply to residence. Off Campus Housing

Incoming Students

At the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), success is always a team effort. Our commitment to your success includes a range of student services backed by friendly, knowledgeable and caring staff.


There are various levels of sports teams you can join on campus. Varsity teams compete against other university teams. Intramural teams are casual, all-levels, play on-campus and compete regularly against other UOIT intramural teams in the same sport. Extramural teams are casual, all-levels, and play off-campus against other universities extramural teams in the same sport. UOIT offers many opportunities for graduate students to get involved with experiences that appeal to a wide range of personal interests, talents and lifestyles. Graduate students are encouraged to seek out experiences that enhance and contribute to their overall graduate school experience.


All official clubs and societies on campus are created by students for students, with the support of the SA. Special Services

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) has three prayer spaces available to students. The Student Experience Centre provides specialized services to mature, transfer and Pathways students (MTPS) to assist with their transition and enhance their overall university experience. The Student Experience Centre’s Indigenous Student Services are committed to supporting interested, incoming and current indigenous students at UOIT. The services and programs offered by the Student Experience Centre are designed to support a successful transition to post-secondary education and help students have the best possible experience at UOIT. International Involvement

The Student Experience Centre’s (SEC) International Student Services is committed to assisting incoming and current international students from the moment an offer of admission is received.
