Students of Northern Lights Academy of Cosmetology LTD. are given 18 hour absence allowance for the duration of their program. Students will be given a written notice when reaching 16 hours of absence with suggestions of how to make up hours. The second notice regarding attendance will be the notice of termination. Northern Lights Academy of Cosmetology LTD. reserves the right to withhold the student's records until the fees have been paid in full.

Career Planning

The academy does its best to place a student with a salon within the vicinity of Grande Prairie. We do not guarantee employment, but do place students in a number of different settings so they may get comfortable with the 'real world'. It is totally up to the student to 'sell themselves' to potential employers. Our academy has had positive feedback from the salons who have employed our graduates. Our students are taught to have high expectations of themselves which will carry them through a successful career.
