Requirements for Canadian Students

Admission Requirements & Application Process

Master’s Degree: Applicants are required to have completed a four-year Honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum B- average over the last two years of full-time equivalent study.

Doctoral Degree
Applicants are usually required to have completed a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution and must have achieved a minimum overall B average in their Master’s program. Applicants must also demonstrate strong potential for research.

Graduate Diploma
Applicants are required to have completed a four-year Honours degree or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum of a B- average over the last two years of full-time equivalent study.

Additional Admission Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English are required to present a passing English Language test (see page 9).

Some departments may have additional or higher admission qualifications.
