Requirements for Canadian Students

Admission in the M. Psy program at ADLER is the responsibility of the Program Admissions Committee, who reviews all submitted applications and bases its recommendation for any given applicant on her or his fulfillment of the Academic Requirements, their demonstrated proficiency in the English language, the nature and quality of the Statement of Intent, interviews with faculty members as appropriate, and the results of the applicant’s participation in the mandatory pre-admission course. Procedure for Canadian Students

For Students wanting to apply to the Psychology program several steps must be done. First, A 3- to 5-page Statement of Intent, which comprises an autobiographical reflection essay outlining how the applicant’s personal history and life experience informs both a potential research focus area in psychology studies, and their calling to a future practice as a psychologist. Second, a personal interview with two faculty members with an overall assessment of 4 or 5 (on a 5- point scale) is conducted. Third, two letters of recommendation from arms-length referees, one of which should be from an academic referee is required.
