Description:

One of the first of its kind in Canada, the Haskayne Doctor of Business Administration will prepare graduates to address complex organizational challenges and become thought-leaders in their field of interest. Developed for senior business leaders and academics, the DBA is designed to build superior research, critical thinking and analytical skills in the context of current issues in the business world.

The Haskayne DBA combines graduate-level courses with a rigorous research component consisting of independent inquiry and a thesis. Upon completion of the program, students become practitioner-scholars and are equipped with the skills to improve business practices through the application of scholarly knowledge.

Applicants are required to have a post-baccalaureate degree (MBA or relevant business-focused Master’s degree). Students with credential in an area other than business may require to complete a qualifying period to gain general business background before beginning the doctoral course requirements. Applicants must also have a minimum of 3.50 GPA on a 4.0 point system.
