The two year pre-university Social Science Commerce Major in Entrepreneurship profile is designed to prepare you for university studies. The Commerce Major in Entrepreneurship offers the same courses as the Commerce profile but the focus is on small/entrepreneurial business. It offers a theoretical view of business geared to help you become familiar with the nature of Commerce programs at leading universities and their requirements for admission. This program is not for students who want to work in business immediately after Cegep.
The Social Science Commerce Major in Entrepreneurship Program includes compulsory mathematics courses and stresses how important it is for you to obtain strong grades in Calculus 1 and 2 and Linear Algebra, as well as strong academic standings in all your courses in order to prepare you for university studies. After successful completion of this profile, students receive a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Social Sciences as well as a Vanier College certificate attesting to the major.

Admission to the College is on the basis of the Quebec Secondary School Diploma (Diplôme d’études secondaires); or the Québec Diploma of Vocational Education (Diplôme d’études professionnelles) with Secondary 5 first & second languages as well as Secondary 4 Mathematics; or equivalent schooling completed outside the province. Math TS/SN 506 or Cegep Math 201-015-50 or adult education MTH 5101-5111 (inclusive) is required. |
