Description:

This four-year interdisciplinary law degree sees the specialty of Law merged with an understanding of philosophy and ethics. The objectives of the programme are to provide you with: a knowledge of the principles and rules of law, an understanding of law in its broader philosophical / ethical context, and an understanding of the relationship between law and philosophy.

You will learn fundamental legal concepts and principles, cultivate an ability to analyse law and engage in legal reasoning, gain a critical understanding of how philosophy shapes and develops law and acquire research skills in the fields of law and philosophy.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Domestic applicants are required to have passes in six subjects (including two at minimum HC3) including: Irish, English, a third language, and three other recognised subjects.

    Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma: The minimum for consideration is minimum score of C in six subjects, which includes a minimum of B in two subjects, with English and specific programme requirements.
