If you are interested in current affairs, international relations and their historical background, this degree will broaden your knowledge. This exciting programme offers you an opportunity to study the historical background to the contemporary world as well as examining the link between political systems and political ideas, and exploring some of the main issues in international politics. You will build on historical analysis to gain an understanding of how political systems operate globally.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Domestic applicants require passes in six subjects (including two at minimum HC3) including: Irish, English, a third language, and three other recognised subjects.

    Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma: The minimum for consideration is minimum score of C in six subjects, which includes a minimum of B in two subjects, with English and specific programme requirements.
