Does food excite you? It excites us, too. Whether you want to be a head chef, a cook, or manage your own food business, our program is the perfect fit for you. Through live-action demonstrations, lectures, and immersive hands-on practice, students are provided with the solid foundational skills of classic and emerging culinary trends and techniques. Students will learn what it takes to run a kitchen, as well as the entrepreneurial side of running a business. You will be pushed, challenged, and above all else, supported by experienced faculty who are committed to your success. The two-year Culinary Management program has been designed to offer you a unique opportunity to apply the cutting-edge skills learned in labs and classes on a paid four-month co-op work term. Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

  •  Grade11 Mathematics 
Applicants must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older with mature student status (See Mature Student definition for details.), Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1270), and Grade 11 Mathematics, C, M (U/C), or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics (MATH1420).
Additional Admission Requirements:
    To be eligible for a co-op work term, the student must have a minimum 65% session weighted average, have successfully completed the Co-op and Career Preparation course as well as the Sanitation and Safety course, and have a maximum of two failed or dropped courses during the term that occurs two terms prior to the work term.
