For a ninth straight year, Conestoga College has been rated the number one public college in Ontario. Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Training (ITAL) is one of three ITALs in Ontario and a member of the Association of Canadian Polytechnic Institutes. Conestoga offers programs leading to certificates, diplomas and degrees. Main academic areas include business, health sciences, engineering technology, information technology, skilled trades, media studies, community services and liberal studies.
Based in Kitchener (120 kilometres west of Toronto), Conestoga serves this diverse mid-western Ontario region, an area that combines larger cities and small towns, strong manufacturing industries and traditional agricultural production. This region is also known as Canada's technology triangle because of its concentration of advanced technology, research and development industries, manufacturing industries and institutions of higher education.

Student residence is located next to the Doon Campus in Kitchener. It is a 528-bed facility with a combination of fully furnished two-bedroom apartment-style rooms and shared open-concept rooms. All rooms have their own shared kitchenette and washroom. The residence is a secure building with controlled-access entry and 24-hour on-site staff.

Orientations play a major role in welcoming new and returning students to Conestoga College. The New Student Orientation is a one-day event filled with meeting new friends and faculty, and valuable workshops offering information on how to be successful at the College. Our other orientation programs, the Family and Friends Orientation and Residence Orientation also help to make our new students' transition to college a smooth one.
Career Services is here to help Conestoga students and graduates prepare for and gain challenging employment. Our knowledgeable staff is happy to assist you with your job search needs. We provide one-on-one assistance with résumés, cover letters, job search and interview skills; deliver workshops to all program areas of the College; build connections with employers; and hold an annual career fair/job fair.
The Conestoga College Recreation Centre has an arena with an Olympic-size ice surface, double gymnasium, weight room, squash courts, baseball diamonds, soccer field, fitness programs and OT's Sports Bar, a licensed bar that seats 90.
Conestoga Students Inc. (CSI) ensures a vibrant student life with plenty of activities all year round. Events include barbecues, toga party, trips to Canada's Wonderland and Blue Jays game.
Conestoga clubs are a great way to connect with people who share your interests and ideas, and provide you with some pretty cool things to do outside of class. Check out Club Day, which happens every term and showcases our different clubs at Conestoga. Some of our clubs include 8 Count (dance team), LGBTTTIQQ & Friends (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transsexual, Transgendered, Two-Spirited, Intersexed, Queer, Questioning, and Friends) and Wizards of the College.
There are open labs and high-speed Internet access on campus and at the residence. Students can also connect through the wireless network available at the Doon and Waterloo Campuses. For students enrolled in a full-time course, Conestoga College provides web-based e-mail services.
CJIQ 88.3 FM The Condor, our radio station, features a line-up of different music genres. They include rock, club, R&B, jazz, classical, Christian and ethnic music. SPOKE is our student-run newspaper.
Conestoga offers services to support students with special needs. Our Disability Services Office has a wide range of services and counselling to accommodate special learning requirements to integrate students with disabilities into a comfortable and rewarding educational environment. We also have an adaptive technology computer lab. The College also runs five child care centres throughout Waterloo Region, one on Doon Campus, and four at public elementary schools. Fees are established on an annual basis. Fee subsidies are available to some parents from local municipal social services or child care divisions.
Conestoga Teacher Education, is active in Beijing, China, working with teachers from the Western School District. Conestoga personnel participated in the establishment of the system of Colleges of Higher Technology in the United Arab Emirates. The College has developed strong educational links in Malaysia, Japan and the Caribbean. Conestoga was also the major participant in the 1991 Ontario-Jiangsu (China) Educational Exchange program. In Canada, Conestoga has hosted a number of international students and educators who have acquired or upgraded skills through regular or specially designed programs of study. At the Learning Commons, Peer Services offers tutoring options for students experiencing subject difficulties, including the unique opportunity to participate in peer-supported learning groups. Students who have English as a second language can practice speaking English and learn more about Canadian culture through peer conversation partners.
