Students who complete a Social Science Major in Sports and Leisure Studies will develop theoretical knowledge and critical thinking about the role of sports and leisure activities in society. They will gain an understanding and appreciation for the psychological, sociological, geographical and anthropological aspects of leisure activities in society. This program is not a prerequisite for a specific university course of studies. The Social Science Major in Sports and Leisure Studies prepares students to pursue university studies in any Social Science discipline such as anthropology, economics, sociology, geography, history, political science, psychology, law, journalism, education and social work.

Admission to the College is on the basis of the Quebec Secondary School Diploma (Diplôme d’études secondaires); or the Québec Diploma of Vocational Education (Diplôme d’études professionnelles) with Secondary 5 fi rst & second languages as well as Secondary 4 Mathematics; or equivalent schooling completed outside the province. Math CST 563-404/414 is required. |
