This Pre-university Program is intended for students with an aptitude and interest in both Music and Science. During six semesters, students will receive all the required courses for both pre-university program Diplomas. This program has traditionally been considered one of the most challenging and rewarding programs offered at Vanier College.
Graduates of this program may go on to advanced future studies in areas such as biology, chemistry, dentistry, engineering, geology, mathematics, medicine, nutrition, optometry, physics and other science oriented programs, plus commerce, finance, business and humanities and social science programs. Science and Music graduates also have open to them areas such as performance, music therapy, music history, music theory, composition, music education, as well as programs in the social sciences, law and humanities.

Admission to the College is on the basis of the Quebec Secondary School Diploma (Diplôme d’études secondaires); or the Québec Diploma of Vocational Education (Diplôme d’études professionnelles) with Secondary 5 fi rst & second languages as well as Secondary 4 Mathematics; or equivalent schooling completed outside the province.
Math TS/SN 506 or Cegep Math 201-015-50 or adult education MTH 5101-5111 (inclusive). Physics 504 or Cegep Physics 203-001-50 or adult education PHS 5041, 5042 & 5043 with labs. Chemistry 504 or Cegep Chemistry 202-001- 50 or adult education CHE 5041, 5042 & 5043 with labs. Recommended: Music 502 or Cegep Music 551-001-50 or 551-002-50; or recognized music training in theory and practice from a school or private teacher.
