Description:

Acquire the skills and knowledge required to analyze and appreciate consumer behavior and to promote products and services. Our trained professionals will teach you how to improve your employment prospects in sales and to communicate effectively in the sales milieu.

The program aims to teach students skills related to data analysis, situational analysis and consumer behavior analysis, train students to process sales data on a computer, help students promote and present products and services, provide students with the skills to perform telephone sales operations, teach students to apply professional ethics during the consultation process in the sale of a product or service, train students to perform supply-related operations and canvass a sales area, and help students understand the principles used in sales and marketing techniques.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants should have a Secondary School Diploma. Applicants 16 years of age on September 30 of the current school year must have obtained credits for Secondary IV courses in the language of instruction, second language and mathematics, or equivalent studies recognized in accordance with sections 232 or 250 of the education Act. Applicants 18 years of age or over must have the functional prerequisites stipulated in section 465 of the Education Act.
    Additional Admission Requirements:
      Open to legal residents of Québec, 16 years of age or older. Birth certificate, Canadian citizenship certificate or proof of landed immigrant status is required. Latest school transcript is also required. Other documents may be requested. Applicants without the required prerequisites may inquire about the General Development Test.
