Description:This program examines how human behavior and activities affect our environment, both globally and locally. This is extremely important considering the impact of global warming and other environmental concerns we face today. Environmental Earth Sciences can also be taken as part of a BSc with Honors degree.

The Bachelor of Science Specialization degree provides a focused education in one program. You will take most of your courses in your main subject area, and are expected to maintain a higher standard of academic achievement. A Specialization degree can provide the background to help you proceed to a higher degree, but its primary function is to provide a comprehensive education at the undergraduate level.

Admission Requirements

Additional Admission Requirements:
    This program does not allow admission directly from high school. Preprofessional Study Time: Successful Completion of ★18 of the University of Alberta Bachelor of Science program or its equivalent. (★ = units of course weight). For consideration, you need a minimum GPA of 2.3 on ★18 in each preceding Fall/Winter and successful completion of the following first-year courses: EAS 100 and 105 (★6), CHEM 101 (★3), MATH 113 or 114 (★3), PHYS 124 or 144 (★3).
