Description:

Although both the Culinary and Pastry programs teach and expose the student to the various skills needed to progress in the industry, there is no replacement for the experiences you will receive in real industry kitchens that must constantly juggle quality, time, and financial pressures. A young culinarian’s first entry in the industry is usually anticipated with much anxiety. The One Year Professional Culinary and Pastry program is intended as a controlled transition from school into the workplace. Your school Chefs and practicum industry Chef work in conjunction to continue your culinary evolution in the right direction.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
In order to qualify for the three-month Practicum (included in the One Year Program), you must first pass both the culinary and pastry terms and have demonstrated employable attributes throughout the courses.
