Description:

Shiatsu is a therapeutic and safe hands-on therapy. Shiatsu literally means, “finger-pressure” in Japanese. It is the application of soothing and gentle pressure to various anatomical points of the body using only the thumbs, the fingers, and the palms of the hand to draw out the natural healing ability, which is in the patient’s body.

This program is intended for students who have no prior background in Shiatsu massage. Courses of this program include anatomy, massage and natural therapies, public health, nutrition, kinesiology, business practice, CPR and first aid, and Japanese culture and language.
