Description:

Instrumentation and automation program graduates will enjoy an engaging future in one, or many of the industries that employ electronic controls to bring about efficiency and reliability. Students learn to install, calibrate, maintain and program computerized equipment and instrumentation used in automation, telemetry, and robotics in the modern electronic and manufacturing sectors.

Students in Industrial Electronics have the option to participate in the college’s work study program—Alternance travail études (A.T.E.). Full-time students in good academic standing may be eligible to join the A.T.E. program where they complete 2 paid field related stages during the summers following their first and second years. Admission to the College is on the basis of the Quebec Secondary School Diploma (Diplôme d’études secondaires); or the Quebec Diploma of Vocational Education (Diplôme d’études professionnelles) with Secondary 5 first and second languages as well as Secondary 4 Mathematics; or equivalent scholarity completed outside the province.

Math TS 564-426 or SN 565-426 (previously Math 406); Math 564-406 or 565-406; Math 201-016-50; Math TS 4161, 4162 & 4163 (equivalent to TS 406) or SN 4171, 4172 & 4173 (equivalent to SN 406), or MTH 4101-4111, inclusive. Science: STE 558-404 or ST 558-402; Physical Science 982-003-50; SCT/TSC 4061, 4062, 4063, 4064 or PSC 4010,4011 and 4012.
