Description:

The BSc (Hons) in Computing Science at Griffith College is a four-year Level 8 bachelor’s degree designed to prepare students for careers in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries. The programme focuses on the latest technological developments and combines strong theoretical foundations with practical, industry-relevant learning. Delivered on a full-time or part-time basis, it equips students with the core principles of computer science needed to succeed in modern IT roles.

Designed with industry needs in mind, the programme allows students to specialise in one of four emerging areas: Cloud Computing, Games Development, Network Management, or Software Development. Graduates gain highly sought-after technical skills, benefit from strong job prospects in a high-demand sector, and are well positioned to progress to postgraduate study. The degree also provides a clear academic pathway to Griffith College’s computing master’s programmes, including Network and Information Security and Big Data Management & Analytics.

    • A minimum of 65% in two senior academic (Grade 12–level) subjects, plus four additional academic subjects at 60% or higher.

    Applicants under 23 years of age:

    Applicants under 23 years of age on 1st January must apply through the CAO system. Please consult the CAO website for information on important dates for applications.


    Applicants over 23 years of age (Mature students):

    If you are 23 years of age on or before the 1st January of the year you want to enter, you may apply as a mature student, and you will be asked for a copy of your passport. A member of the College’s admissions team will be in touch to discuss your course entry requirements.


    Applicants under 23. 

    • Applicants that are under 23 years old on 1st January will be asked for a copy of their passport, Leaving Certificate results / FETAC qualifications or equivalent and must meet the minimum entry requirements for the programme

    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or DuoLingo or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) or Pearson Test of English (Academic)
