Description:

Computer Science involves the investigation and exploration of the theory, practice and use of computers and computation. Computing is now the foundation of all sciences in the 21st century and Computer Science combines skills from Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Design. Computer scientists have created the computational hardware that powers your personal computer, mobile phone, PDA, satellite box, car, bank ATM and medical equipment. The process of creating the software that controls the behaviour of all of these devices is often described as ‘more art than science’.

The BSc (Computer Science) allows you to study Computer Science as a Science degree. It covers the core Computer Science and Informatics subjects, ranging from hardware design to software engineering along with a wide variety of advanced topics including intelligent internet systems, parallel and distributed computing, programming languages and the formal foundations of computing.
