Description:

The Bachelor of Education (Primary/Elementary) as a 2nd Degree with French as a Second Language (FSL) program is designed to prepare teachers of Kindergarten - 6 with a focus on teaching Core French, Primary and Elementary French Immersion, and Intensive (Core) French. The program includes coursework, school visit days and a one-semester internship placement. The program is intended for candidates who have already completed an appropriate bachelor’s degree.

    Applicants must have

    • Completed at least 36 credit hours in French with an average of at least 65% in the 36 credit hours;
    • Completed the DELF Tout Public (Level B2)
    • Completed at least eight weeks at an approved Francophone institution or have acquired equivalent work experience in a Francophone environment. Note: Applicants who are unable to fulfill the eight week immersion requirements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
    • Official transcripts are to be sent directly from the awarding Institution to The Office of the Registrar, Memorial University
