Requirements for Canadian Students

To be eligible for admission, you need to successfully complete senior level high school courses in the following five subject areas with an overall average of not less than 70%:

  • English
  • Mathematics*
  • Laboratory Science*
  • A modern language, classical language or social science
  • One other subject area (i.e. an Elective)

*Students who are missing the mathematics course, laboratory science course or both should contact the Registrar's Office. Where circumstances warrant, applicants not meeting the requirements for admission may be admitted with the approval of the University Committee on Admissions.

Procedure for Canadian Students

Students must complete a Memorial University online application: https://www.mun.ca/undergrad/admissions/apply.

The application fee must accompany the application form. Application fee is payable by credit card when applying online, and by cash (in-person only), cheque or credit card when paying using the paper application. Potential students are advised to the relevant application deadlines.

Some programs may require an audition (music), and/or references (nursing).
