How to become: Estheticians

In general, you usually need a high school diploma. You usually also need specialized or on-the-job training. To be an electrologist or esthetician, you usually need certification from a related educational or training institution. In Manitoba apprenticeship training is available for electrologists, estheticians and nail technicians and trade certification is compulsory. Many recent entrants have a trade / vocational certificate or community college diploma, and almost 1 in 10 has an undergraduate university degree.
