Southern Cross University is a vibrant, contemporary Australian university with beautiful campuses at the Gold Coast, Lismore and Coffs Harbour, and branch campuses in Sydney and Melbourne. SCU International will help with: pre-departure information; settling in; orientation; student visa advice and health insurance advice; dedicated advisers; wellbeing and welfare.

Career Planning

As a student, it's never too early to start thinking about career options and possibilities. The Career Development Service can assist you with this process at all stages of your studies. We can do this with personalised appointments or you can access the online SCU Career Development Program at http://scu.edu.au/students/index.php/92. CareerHub can also be used to search for graduate employment or part-time jobs. As well as helping current students, we provide a range of services for prospective students, SCU staff and recent graduates.

Sports

UniLife provides you with an opportunity to get active and be involved in a number of social sports programs where you can mix with other students and staff at SCU. These sports are a low-cost activity. Just get a group of friends together, choose a sport, throw a few dollars into the pot for the entry fee and turn up for some fun. UniLife also has partnerships with Sierra Fitness at the Gold Coast campus, SCU Fitness for You at the Lismore campus, and SCU Sports Centre at the Coffs Harbour campus. These partnerships provide SCU students with discounted prices for gym use and fitness classes. So, check them out for other great ways to stay fit and active. Information Technology

General purpose computing labs are available for use by all SCU students. All labs provide access to the Internet, print facilities and have a standard suite of software available. Some computing labs are available at all times for casual use ie. they are not timetabled for teaching purposes. Labs that are timetabled are still available for casual use however if a class is scheduled to commence please ensure you vacate the room in time for the class to commence. Cultural

At SCU there are a range of university-wide cultural events on offer. UniLife coordinates national tertiary cultural programs for SCU students. SCU Chaplaincy Service supports and promotes the spiritual wellbeing of the members of the SCU community. It does this by assisting individuals and groups as they seek to make sense during critical periods in their lives. Chaplaincy at SCU is ecumenical and multi-faith in nature and maintains strong links with faith groups through local, national and international networks. The Inter-Faith Advisory Committee oversees the coordination and facilitation of chaplaincy activities. The membership comprises clergy and non-clergy persons from the major churches, religious and spiritual organisations in the area as well as members of the University community.

Campus Tour

Book in advance and we can personalise a campus tour with one of our student ambassadors. You will be able to meet and speak with all the people you need to - including lecturers and staff - about the courses you are interested in, as well as university life in general. You might also be able to meet students who are already enrolled in the course you're interested in taking. A campus tour also gives you a chance to see many of the facilities available to students such as lecture halls, labs, equipment, gym, bookshop, cafes and more.
