University of Niagara Falls Canada

Profile

University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is a career-focused graduate and undergraduate university located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, approximately 90 minutes from Toronto. UNF serves domestic and international students from across Ontario and Canada, offering applied, industry-aligned programs in artificial intelligence, data analytics, health care management, business administration, biomedical sciences, bioveterinary science, digital media and global communications, applied social psychology, management, and sustainability.

UNF uses a flipped classroom model, meaning students engage with foundational content before class, with in-person time devoted to applied problem-solving, case analysis, and collaborative work. This active learning approach is delivered through a quarter-based academic calendar. All graduate programs complete in 18 months over six terms, including one scheduled break term. Graduate programs are available on campus, online, and in hybrid formats based on program availability. Undergraduate programs are delivered on campus. The hybrid delivery model requires in-person attendance just one weekend every five weeks.

Work-integrated learning is a core feature across programs. Students complete supervised practicums, internships, and capstone projects in partnership with external clients, employers, and community organizations. These applied components allow students to build career-ready skills and a professional portfolio before graduation.

All UNF programs -- undergraduate and graduate -- have completed Ontario's quality assurance process and have received consent to be offered through the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities. UNF is a member of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). UNF offers up to four intakes per year for most programs, providing flexible entry points across fall, winter, spring, and summer terms.

More than $15 million in scholarships, awards, and financial support is available to students annually, including entrance awards for newly admitted domestic and international students and academic scholarships for continuing students.

UNF's campus occupies more than 37,000 sq. ft. in the Hatch Building on Queen Street in downtown Niagara Falls, Ontario. A purpose-built university building with 120,000 sq. ft. of academic space and a 650-bed student residence is in development.
