With a student population of 13,000, Murdoch is small enough to support excellent staff student relations, yet large enough to provide state-of-the-art facilities, excellent student services, and an extensive range of academic programs. Murdoch University’s main South Street Campus is set on beautifully landscaped grounds, which is located approximately 20 minutes by car (nine miles) from Perth’s city centre and 10 minutes by car (5 miles) from the popular cafe district of Fremantle. A second smaller campus is located at Rockingham, about 30 minutes away and the University operates a regular shuttle bus to this campus. In 2004, a third campus was opened in the Peel Region approximately 45 minutes away from the South Street Campus.
