Capilano University's newest location, surrounded by mountains in the District of Squamish, will offer unique academic opportunities to deliver a distinct university experience for learners, inspired by imagination and rooted in innovation. The 18-acre purpose-built campus includes academic teaching and learning spaces, a dining area, a library, an athletic centre, and a sports field.

Classes in all programs are capped at 25 students, ensuring that each individual benefits from the instructors' extensive expertise.

Areas of Expertise

Capilano University offers specialized programs in Environmental Studies and Sustainability, Outdoor Filmmaking, Technology and Coding, Business and Communication, and Health and Human Development, all designed to provide hands-on learning experiences while benefiting from small class sizes and expert instruction.

Our Squamish student housing provides students with a tranquil and adventurous environment surrounded by breathtaking nature landscapes.

Four-month (Fall 2025) per semester costs:

  • Single room paired with an adjoining washroom= $3,888/Semester
  • Single accessible room with private washroom= $4,250/Semester
  • Mandatory meal plan= $2,600/Semester
  • Application Fee = CAD$ 50
  • CAD$ 500 confirmation payment on acceptance is required
  • Estimated 2025-26 fees. Fees may be subject to change.

Every room in Squamish is single-occupancy, with three suite configurations:

  • single room paired with an adjoining washroom;
  • single accessible room with private washroom; and
  • single accessible room with an adjoining bathroom.

Each room includes a bed, desk, chair, sink, mirror and wardrobe. Each building also has common study spaces, TV rooms and community lounges, as well as free laundry facilities and bike storage. The buildings are located at:

  • 3021 University Boulevard (Ossa Building)
  • 3031 University Boulevard (Serratus Building)

Sports

Capilano University's sports teams are known as the Blues. A proud tradition built on excellence attracts elite athletes every year to the school's six teams.The Blues have varsity programs for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball. All teams compete provincially in the PACWEST conference which is part of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Since the inception of the Blues athletics program in 1973, CapU teams have claimed 62 provincial titles and 15 national championships including the 2020 men's volleyball national championship. Blues sports provide an important part of campus life. With home soccer games at Lillooet Park and home basketball and volleyball games at the Centre for Sport and Wellness, there is opportunity most weekends to attend sports events at CapU and cheer on the Blues. CapU's study abroad programs aim to provide dynamic and creative learning avenues to elevate your academic and professional career, your intercultural competence, and your overall personal growth.
