Profile

The Triangle Program is a high school that hosts wonderful LGBTQ2+ youth who are in need of a smaller and safer space where they can find and build community. We strive to reflect our students’ experiences in an 2SLGBTQ+ and social justice-focused curriculum. We offer caring and flexible supports to help our students earn their high school diploma in the following ways:

  • Curriculum serving grades 9 to 12.
  • We address the interests, concerns, literature, and history of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities in our classes whenever possible.
  • Guest speakers and field trips to connect students with different members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
  • Smaller classroom sizes with more teacher interaction.
  • Social supports: Through one part-time social worker, a part-time CYC, and through our connections to community organizations.
  • Nutrition: Triangle Program is able to offer students a free nutritious meal every day at lunch. Community volunteers often prepare lunch.
  • Opportunities for volunteer hours and dual credits.
  • TTC fare so transportation is not a barrier.

Areas of Expertise

The Triangle Program School Council is an active council that focuses on many of the behind the scenes issues needed to support the Triangle Program itself and the students in it.
