Bodwell offers a rigorous academic program, including AP courses, and prepares students for university entrance. All students participate in our extra-curricular clubs, with emphasis on sports, fine arts and life skills in the boarding program.

We have a strong ESL program and our Saturday enrichment program allows students to expand their learning and to gain "real-world" knowledge. Our diverse environment enables students to become active learners and well-rounded citizens who contribute positively to the world.

Off Campus Housing

For all programs in Bodwell, we offer carefully arranged homestay accommodation, which is available for $700.00 to $950.00 per month, depending on age. Homestay provides students with a private room and three meals a day.

Incoming Students

An orientation session will be scheduled for the first morning of the term. In addition, a personal interview with the Registrar will be part of the new student entrance process.

Bodwell strives to develop confidence in each of our students through active involvement in all areas of their lives. The Student Services Department provides academic guidance and social/emotional counselling for students on an individual basis. Frequent communication with parents/guardians regarding the progress of their children ensures the success of our young people. The Student Services Department is also responsible for supervising the student dormitory and the homestay program.

Career Planning

Students will be able to access the school community intranet site for specific career planning information. They can also receive individual consultation with their instructors during their practicum courses.

Activities

Bodwell High School offers a wide variety of extra curricular activities to meet our objective of fostering positive, creative, and well balanced personalities in young people. Numerous musical events, theatre trips, educational tours, sports programs, and outdoor adventures are available to students.

Further, teachers and counsellors work together to get students involved. Regular sports and club activities are held during lunch hours and in the afternoons throughout the week.
