RMC is a federally designated learning institution operated by the Department of National Defence with a prominent university character. We offer diverse programmes that focus on enhancing your professional development. Our collaboration with other academic institutions inside and outside Canada is extensive. These are just a few compelling reasons you should pursue graduate studies and research at RMC. Areas of Expertise

The Division of Graduate Studies provides advanced degree programmes at the Masters and Doctoral levels for postgraduate students in key areas of engineering, humanities, social sciences and science. The programmes of Graduate Studies at RMC are open to officers of the Canadian Armed Forces and to civilians.


The programs of Graduate Studies at RMC are open to commissioned and non-commissioned officers of the Canadian Armed Forces, Regular and Reserves, and to civilians who are either Canadian citizens or permanent residents. International students may also be admitted on a case by case basis.

Civilian PG students may not stay in any of the on-campus housing.

Career Planning

The programs of Graduate Studies at RMC are open to commissioned and non-commissioned officers of the Canadian Armed Forces, Regular and Reserves. Graduate enrolment is also open to civilian students who are either Canadian citizens or permanent residents. A graduate civilian student's journey at RMC is no different from one at other Canadian universities: there are no military duties and there is no obligation to join the Canadian Forces. Exceptional international students are also encouraged to join us at RMC

Sports

Civilian PG students have access to the Kingston Military Community Sports Centre (KMCSC).

Civilian Students are Ordinary Members and should pay a rate of around $15/month as of 2018.

RMC ID card must show student status to obtain the Associate Member rate.

Civilian PG students can participate in pickup sports at the KMCSC.

Civilian PG students may not participate in intramural sports.

Clubs

Recreation Clubs are created and organized by Officer Cadets with the primary intent of providing leadership opportunities for students. They also help to develop the social skills of those who choose to get involved and to introduce different leisure and athletic activities to the RMC community that may not already be offered through the varsity and intramural programs.There are over a dozen clubs available, including astronomy, climbing, expedition, paintball, and theatre.
