We provide a vibrant, safe and welcoming community to enhance your learning and life experiences at RDP: all within a five-minute walk to class!
An off-campus housing registry is maintained by the Students' Association.
Our campus is a place where curiosity meets courage, and where every individual is empowered to lead, create, and connect.
Through Work-Integrated Learning, students don't just learn; they thrive in real-world environments where theory meets practice. The powerful partnerships between RDP, employers, and students create a win-win scenario: students develop career-ready skills, and employers shape their future talent pipeline.
Together, we're building not just résumés but the adaptable, innovative workforce that today's economy demands.
RDP offers dynamic facilities and health and wellness opportunities for every level, from casual recreation to competitive sport. The Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre includes an ice arena, performance gymnasium, fitness centre, running and sprint tracks and squash courts.
RDP Athletics has 15 teams, with over 180 Red Deer Polytechnic student-athletes competing in seven sports: basketball, cross country running, curling, hockey, indoor track, soccer and volleyball. Our teams compete in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) and the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA).
There are a variety of student societies and clubs at RDP, coordinated through the Students' Association. Have an idea for a club that hasn't yet been formed? The Students' Association is always open to new ideas and can help take you through the process to form a new club.
Our Library ensures access to the universe of information and technology. It is a learning centre providing a networked environment and a core collection of more than 130,000 items. The Library is a member of NEOS, a central Alberta library consortium.
Collaborations between our International Department, EDI Committees, and Students' Association offer activities, learning opportunities, and events all year to celebrate and elevate the cultures and awareness campaigns that affect our community.
Red Deer Polytechnic offers convenient year-round child care and Kindergarten on campus, with priority placement given to RDP students.
Red Deer Polytechnic is committed to creating an accessible learning environment for students. If you experience barriers to your learning, such as a disability, you may be eligible for accessibility services to support your academic success.
Red Deer Polytechnic provides learning opportunities for more than 1,200 students from 36 different countries. We are proud to also offer programs, courses and other expertise in foreign countries, creating an impact to help citizens and communities around the world.
