Durham College is leading the way in innovative and transformative education. With campuses in Oshawa and Whitby, Durham College (DC) offers over 11,000 full-time students access to more than 140 post-secondary programs, including four honours bachelor degrees and nine apprenticeship programs.

DC enables students to develop career-ready skills for the ever-changing job market by offering an exceptional college education. With a focus on experiential learning, led by experienced faculty, through field placements, applied research, co-ops and other hands-on opportunities, DC grads are known for having the skills and knowledge employers need.

The Oshawa campus is also home to several of the college's applied research centres, including the AI Hub, Centre for the Cybersecurity Innovation and Mixed Reality Capture Studio.

The Whitby campus is home to the new Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology. The campus also features the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food, including the award-winning Bistro '67, a full-service, teaching-inspired restaurant, and Pantry, a retail store featuring food grown and prepared by students in the college's horticulture, culinary and cook apprenticeship programs.

At Durham College, we offer the best of both worlds when it comes to residence - all the comforts of home in a unique campus community experience. Our residences at both the Oshawa and Whitby campuses provide a guaranteed spot for first-year students if you meet the deadlines for accepting your offer of admission and applying to residence. Incoming Students

Your success is our number one priority, and our extensive orientation programs have been designed to ensure you feel prepared for your first day of classes. Sports

Durham College has some of the best facilities in the country, focusing on staying fit, high-performance athletes and recreation. Some of these facilities include:

  • Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre: Five gymnasiums, 10,000-sq.-ft. Fitness centre, aerobic/dance studios, spin class studio, 200m indoor track, athletic therapy centre, multi-purpose lounge, varsity change rooms, elite training varsity workout centre and a student-athlete academic study room
  • Campus Ice Centre: Features two NHL sized pads and restaurant
  • Campus Fieldhouse: A brand new domed multi-sport turf facility

Durham College varsity teams include Women's and men's soccer, basketball, volleyball, golf, rugby, indoor soccer, and women's softball and men's baseball and esports. Campus Recreation is proud to offer a variety of sport and recreation-based programming, including intramurals, extramural, sports clubs, tournaments and special events. Activities

Durham College Students Inc. (DCSI) plays an active and vital role in the interest of all students. As the student voice on campus, it reflects the values of communication, inclusiveness, representation, spirit and success in all that it does. It holds numerous on- and off-campus events and administers programs such as the food bank, Women's Centre, student insurance plan and the U-Pass for local transit.

Clubs

Information Technology

Information Technology (IT) is integral to the student experience at Durham College and is an essential aspect of academic and personal success. The IT skills and experience our students develop are broadly used during their academic studies and, more importantly, in furthering their personal, professional and career success. Special Services

Durham College recognizes the importance of inclusive learning environments designed for diverse learners. The staff at the Access and Support Centre (ASC) provide full opportunities for academic success for all students. The ASC is a place for you if you are a student who is temporarily-at-risk or who has identified with an exceptionality to access supports and services.

Examples of an exceptionality/disability could mean a physical condition, chronic illness, learning disability, deaf or hard of hearing, low vision/blind, mental health, ADHD, ASD and multiple exceptionalities.
