Profile

School closed as of July 2008 and is now part of Great Plains College.

Areas of Expertise

We also offer a wide range of custom-designed courses for local business and industry. Currently, our highest priority is enhancing student access to credit programs via the Internet and other forms of distance delivery. Closely tied to this is our commitment to improve access to counseling services across the southwest region, not only by electronic means, but also by means of traveling career counselors, and employment and career counselors who maintain offices in several towns across the region. These career and employment services are offered in partnership with Canada-Saskatchewan Career and Employment Services co-located with the college in Swift Current.

On Campus Housing

No on-campus housing is available at any of the campuses.

Off Campus Housing

It is expected that students are drawn from the surrounding communities, and as such will not be in need of housing assistance.

Incoming Students

No programs specific to first year students. Some courses do have mandatory orientation.

Career Planning

All adults and students in the Cypress Hills Regional College area are entitled to visit the career counselor and use the career services free of charge. Plan your career by getting information about yourself and your options. If you have already chosen a career, make certain that you have the right requirements/prerequisites for any courses you may need to take. If you are unemployed, thinking of changing careers, or just getting started in the job market, Career Services can help. Career Services can assist you with finding an academic direction, planning a program, and admission and registration procedures. Career Services provides assistance and support for individuals to make career decisions and formulate educational plans.
