Waterworks Technology School is a private trade school specializing in training for the water, sewer, and utilities construction industry. Wayne Nowlan, a mechanical engineering technician with 28 years involvement in the industry, provides classroom instruction and hands on training techniques. The School is a registered trade school with the Private Post Secondary Education Commission of British Columbia and is an active member in the of British Columbia Career Colleges Association, the National Association of Career Colleges, and the Vancouver Regional Construction Association, as well as the Canadian Construction Association. In the three month program, students graduate with a certificate in Waterworks Technology with competency in piping, valves, fire hydrants, laser gradients, fusion welding HDPE pipe, pressure testing, flushing, disinfecting, blueprint reading, quantity take off and municipal specifications, and drilling and tapping on pressurized and non-pressurized piping systems.

Areas of Expertise

Civil engineering technology pertains to municipal infrastructure, specifically water and sewer construction, as well as HDPE gas distribution, and ducting for hydro and communication networks.
