The Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy Ltd. is located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, Vernon, British Columbia. We offer a massage therapy program with a variety of options designed to meet your career needs. OVCMT is committed to creating and maintaining the highest possible standards of education in professional massage therapy, and education in relaxation massage and spa modalities. We provide a dynamic, positive, safe, and supportive environment where students can develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to becoming registered massage therapists or spa practitioners. The curriculum will emphasize the integration of academic content, practical skills, and application with the art and ethics of professionalism.

The program is tiered so that you may exit after the first year with a Spa Practitioner's certificate, after the second year with a two year diploma, which will enable you to work in most other provinces, or complete the full three year program with a 3,000 hour diploma, which will entitle you to write the provincial board exams. Graduates of the OVCMT three year massage therapy diploma program are eligible to receive up to 90 credits towards the 120 credit Bachelor of Health Science degree that is now available through Thompson Rivers University - Open Learning.

OVCMT has created a program that will train the Spa Practitioner to be more knowledgeable about specific applications and contraindications, and therefore elevate the service provided to the public. The graduate will have a skill set that matches the spa industry's needs and one that is very much in demand. This program also allows the student to return to Year Two of a massage therapy program if at some time his or her career aspirations change during the year.
