Northern Ontario Welding School Inc. offers basic to advanced training and tailors the course to meet the expectations of both the student and potential employers. It is our goal to provide our students with a varied background in welding in order to prepare them for diversified employment. Northern Ontario Welding School Inc. is owned and operated by Bill Mandris and Gail McCallum. Bill Mandris has spent most of his life working directly in the welding trade. He also has many years of teaching experience in schools in Edmonton, Alberta and Hamilton, Ontario. Gail McCallum worked for the Halton District School Board in Burlington for 30 years in office management, plant operations, and as a field supervisor. Gail manages the school office, orders materials, and helps out where required in the classroom and the shop. The school is located in Barrie, Ontario - one of the fastest growing cities in Canada.

We provide comprehensive training in welding. In addition, we are an accredited test centre for the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). The test centre is available to our students as well as companies requiring testing or upgrading of their employees.
