Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education (NSCECE) is an institution for early childhood educators. Our curriculum and methodology have been perfected over 40 years and is being continually improved. Our small class sizes offer individualized care and attention. We also have a resource centre that provide a wealth of materials to supplement our students' learning experience.
As the capital of the province of Nova Scotia, the city of Halifax enjoys many of the benefits of a big city while retaining the charm and character of its rich history. Halifax is a hotspot of culture, education, and business with a thriving social scene. We are located minutes away from the downtown area, which is chock full of restaurants, cafes, pubs, and shops for every taste.
Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education (NSCECE) provides a two-year diploma in early childhood education that is licensed by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and approved by the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services. It can be taken on a full- or part-time basis.
There are no residential facilities at the College.
NSCECE has a limited list of possible accommodation opportunities in the metro area – e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Student Support Services assists students with their job search. We offer help with cover letter and résumé writing, and interview preparation.
There are computers on-site for student use. Internet access is available, as is Microsoft Word. A printer is also available for student use. Printer cards are available for purchase.
In order for us to help students more effectively, students should self-identify to the College by filling out the supplemental form during registration. Students with special needs may qualify for Employability Assistance for People with Disabilities (EAPD) or a Canada Study Grant. Contact the Student Services Counsellor for more information.
