Profile

At Northumberland College, we not only understand the growth in complementary health care career opportunities, we are a driving force. For a quarter of a century ICT Schools helped propel the trend toward preventative medicine and alternative therapy in an ever-expanding health care sector. Sports medicine, hospitals, fitness centres, spas and resorts, wellness centres, extended care facilities and private practice are just a few of the career paths our graduates have chosen. Northumberland College is located in the heart of Halifax where a wide variety of cultural activities and services are available. The area is student friendly providing access to public transportation, parking, a wide variety of stores and services and in close proximity to affordable student housing within the surrounding community.

Areas of Expertise

ICT Schools have drawn upon educational research to develop a unique learning method called Student-Centred-Interactive-Learning (SCIL). We have designed our method to involve students as much as possible in the learning process. Suikodo Therapy™, exclusive to ICT Schools, was developed by Shiatsu Master Mitsuki Kikkawa, and ICT students are provided with opportunities to study this unique and effective therapy.

Incoming Students

ICT Schools offers Information Sessions regarding its programs on a regular basis throughout the year. Information Sessions provide an introduction to the various programs offered and include an orientation to complementary and alternative professions and practical demonstrations.
