We are a Manitoba based Transport Driver Training School and are registered as a private vocational institution under The Private Vocational Institutions Act (since 1995). Regular hours are from 8am to 6pm, however, evenings and Saturdays also are available. All training is done one-on-one and at each individual's own pace. By Appointment.
We offer a certified 40-hour training course for class 1A license or class 1S (S is air brake with slack adjustment). Class 1 and air brake learners are a required pre-requisite (written tests completed). This complete course covers pre-trip inspections, air brake practicum, driving skills, backing, and more. After completion of training, we schedule a driving test. Upon passing the test, you will receive your class 1A or 1S license and Certificate of Completion from Free Eagle.
Free Eagle runs a fleet of six tractor/trailer units. We are a registered private vocational school. All of our trainers are trained by MTA and are certified by the Manitoba Drivers License Registrar. Between our seven instructors there are more than 100 years of class 1 experience.
Due to extensive industry contacts, job placement assistance is included in all courses. Transport drivers are in high demand locally and across the country. Drivers with a Class 1A or 1S license can find employment as: local drivers - home every night; medium range - 2-3 day runs; and long haul - 4-21 day runs. Long haul drivers may run single or team depending on driver preference or companies' need. Annual salaries range from $30,000 to $60,000.
