It was in 1994 that, l’École des métiers de l'aérospatiale de Montréal (ÉMAM), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Montreal Catholic School Board (CECM) and the Centre d’adaptation de la main d’œuvre aérospatiale du Québec (CAMAQ) first opened its door. The school's mission is to train qualified and skilled workers which will enable them to work in the aerospace industry. Over 10 years in operation, l'ÉMAM offers high quality training, always keeping up to date with today's new technology.

All the programs sanctioned by the ministère de l'Éducation du Québec, and offered by l'École des métiers de l'aérospatiale de Montréal, is followed by a training course in a work environnement. During three or four weeks, always eeping in mind the program followed by the student, the knowledge and abilities are put into practice together with experienced employees in the field, all the while continuing his program. Small and medium-sized businesses from the region of Montréal as well as the larger companies in the Aerospace Industry have accepted students in their companies for a training program.
